URBAN WORD & the NEW YORK KNICKS: Free Creative Writing, Spoken Word, and Hip-Hop workshops in collaboration with the NEW YORK KNICKS The NY Knicks Poetry Slam series is sponsoring this year’s Urban Word NYC FALL WORKSHOPS, held around the city on different days of the week. SPACE IS LIMITED! These free and uncensored writing workshops are available to all NYC teens (13-19) to explore writing through poetry, hip-hop and spoken word. Each workshop ends in a slam, where students have the opportunity to perform with their peers from all over the city; win Knicks prizes, gear and a chance to be on the KNICKS SLAM team; and submit their writing for prizes and awards.
