It’s completely ingenious the way he deploys the pretty cut-out scenery (by Gillian Bradshaw-Smith) and the equally charming costumes (by Sylvia Taalsohn Nolan), and it’s extraordinary the way he achieves so much with so small an ensemble. What’s more, the choreography is musical and inventive-and fun. The atmosphere is relaxed and rowdy, the experience a happy one. Don’t forget this one at Nutcracker time next year!” – Robert Gottlieb, The New York Observer

STINKY KIDS: THE MUSICAL
November 9 - 30
Saturdays @ 2pm
Britt never gets in trouble and loves making everyone happy! But when she gets a massive wad of gum stuck in her hair, she must rely on her friends to help her get out of the sticky situation before her parents find out.
The international percussion sensation that arrived at New York's Orpheum Theatre continues its phenomenal run. A high-energy, percussive symphony, coupled with dance, played entirely on non-traditional instruments, such as garbage can lids, buckets, brooms and sticks.
For ages 8 years and up.
While many children's theater troupes tell stories to children, The Story Pirates believe that every child has a story to tell. This New York City arts education organization exists entirely because of kids. The group of professional actors, improv comedians and teaching artists uses stories written by elementary students as source material for outrageous, over-the-top, side-splitting musical plays. Adding songs, props, music videos and puppets, they bring to life on stage what children scribble down on paper.
At a typical Story Pirates show, story topics run the gamut, from kung-fu ninja babies fighting crime to the eternal love between the devil and a guy she meets at Starbucks. It's a world where cats sometimes fly and Tickle Monsters have been known to take over the world.
At the end of every sold out show, the entire audience is treated to free ice cream and cookies!

For the holidays, enjoy a true Christmas classic, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
Based on the 1954 film of the same name, the musical follows army-veterans-turned-vaudeville-stars Bob Wallace and Phil Davis. Intent on wooing Betty and Judy Hanes, the boys follow the sister act to their gig at Vermont inn, only to discover the place is run by their beloved former commander. The boys agree to put on a show to draw visitors to the floundering lodge, all the while hoping for a white Christmas.
Nominated for two Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards, the heartwarming new book by David Ives and Paul Blake incorporates Irving Berlin classics including “Sisters,” “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” and, of course, “White Christmas.”
Wicked is a musical based on the novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire. It takes place in the Land of Oz, and tells the story of many of the characters before Dorothy arrived. Elphaba, a smart, good-hearted, but misunderstood young woman will green skin, meets the pretty, popular, but snobbish Galinda at school. They become friends, and go on a journey together that takes them to the Emerald City, where they meet the somewhat corrupt Wizard of Oz, and eventually forces them to take different paths in adult life. Elphaba becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, while Galinda becomes Glinda, good witch and ally to the Wizard.
