for Professional Sign Language Interpreters
Interpreting for the Theatre Program at The Juilliard School: June 1-7, 2008 This is an intensive seven-day (50+ hours) program for proficient interpreters beginning on Sunday, June 1, and ending on Saturday, June 7, 2008. It is suggested that participants arrive on Saturday, May 31 to settle in.
This program is comprised of three main areas: Translation, Theatre Interpreting Techniques and Body Awareness. As a program participant, it is essential that you are able to communicate fluently in both languages. TDF is an approved CMP-ACET sponsor. By attending this summer institute, certified interpreters will be able to earn up to 5.4 CEUs.
Tuition is $950, with enrollment limited to 20 participants. An audition is required of all participants.
