OffOff@$9 Info for Producers

Learn How TDF Can Help You Fill Your Venue
In order to help build a stronger connection between adventurous theatremakers and their equally adventurous patrons, TDF developed OffOff@$9, which offers theatre, dance and music performed on small stages and nontraditional spaces all over the city—for only $9.

We realize that sometimes filling a theatrical venue can be a little challenging, especially when you’re producing new and exciting work. TDF's OffOff@$9 Program can help producers and presenters gain revenue while bringing new audiences to Off-Off Broadway by offering discounted tickets to TDF’s 90,000 members. OffOff@$9 was specifically designed to encourage attendance at both AEA and non-AEA showcases as well as smaller dance venues. In the first two years, TDF generated nearly 41,000 admissions for participating Off-Off Broadway companies.

Due to the success of OffOff@$9, we’re honored to be awarded the 2012 Ellen Stewart Award by the Innovative Theatre Awards for demonstrating a significant contribution to the Off-Off Broadway community through service, support, and leadership.

Who Can Participate

OffOff@$9 is open to any fully produced, scripted theatre production (AEA Showcase Code or non-AEA), along with dance and music events, whose full- price ticket has a face value of $10-$20. The OffOff@$9 Program is not intended for staged readings.

How It Works

TDF charges members $9 per ticket for all productions in the OffOff@$9 Program and pays the production $9 for each ticket purchased. TDF pays each box office weekly. Checks are mailed on each Monday following a week of performances.

As a producer, you can submit theatre and dance productions online; add dates, times, and allocations and view sales 24/7.

How To Participate

  1. Download the Producer's Kit, which includes instructions.
  2. Create an account at http://tickets.tdf.org.
  3. Build a show file providing venue information, show description, artwork, etc.
  4. Upon approval you can add dates, times, and ticket allocations.

PLEASE NOTE:

If your production is at Theatre Row, you must contact Theatre Row and have their box office create and manage your listing. If your show is part of a festival you must contact the Festival management and have their staff create and manage your listing. All minimums and covers must be waived for TDF Members. You must confirm with the venue's management before posting your offer through TDF's OffOff@$9 program.
