TDF Conversations

Making live performance part of our daily lives
Performances never happen in a vacuum. In one way or another, our experience of theatre and dance is always impacted by what we’ve heard and seen beforehand and what we talk about after the show.

And that discussion, that context, is a crucial part of the fun. It helps live performance become part of our daily lives.

At Theatre Development Fund, we love those conversations. We want to have them with everyone---artists, audiences, and especially you.

If you follow the links on the right, you’ll find all the conversations TDF has started and all the ways you can participate. From our online magazine TDF Stages to our books and reports on the field, from our documentary film series Meet the Theatre to our interactive video project the Theatre Dictionary,  TDF’s online magazine for ages 16-26, PXP, offers a fresh take on NYC performing arts. It connects the audience to artists, making a space for both sides to talk, share, and create community. The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), podcast series features more than three decades of priceless one-on-one interviews and panel discussions with the theatre's most distinguished luminaries. You can now listen to Masters of the Stage on tdf or subscribe to the series on ITunes. These conversations will let you hear the story of the American theatre told by those who helped chart its course.we’re always delivering new ways to look at, think about, and discuss the best of theatre and dance.

We encourage you to join the conversation, not just here, but on  on Twitter, Facebook, and in our weekly TDF Stages newsletter.
