Shakespeare Downtown presents Macbeth co-directed by Geoffrey Horne and Alec Baldwin

The mission of Shakespeare Downtown (SD) is to encourage an interest in classical theatre. By staging these free outdoor performances at Castle Clinton at The Battery, audience members experience the plays how they were originally done at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre 400 years ago: in the open-air, in the round, on the water. The actors wear period costumes and perform inside the castle walls where SD creates a theatre complete with chairs, audio and lights.

Show Notes: No intermission. Performances are free, and audience members will be able to get tickets starting at 6 PM on the day of the performance at Castle Clinton National Monument.
