Music Mountain is the home of the oldest continuing summer chamber music festival in this country. This beautiful and serene chamber music center at the foothills of the Berkshires was conceived and managed by Jacques Gordon, one of the great violinists of the 20th century. Its significance in the world of music is that it is the only summer concert and educational institution devoted primarily to the string quartet, as it has been since its founding in 1930. Music Mountain is celebrating its 90th anniversary season in 2019.

Each season offers a Chamber Music Series of 16 concerts, mainly on Sunday afternoons, a popular Saturday evening series of Jazz and Choral concerts, and a number of special events. As in years past, all of this concert activity offers many opportunities for visits to Music Mountain for people of all varieties of musical tastes.

Music Mountain and its marvelous setting for both the musicians and the audience is justly famed. The centerpiece is Gordon Hall - one of the finest chamber music facilities in the country with legendary acoustics and resonant, full-bodied sound.
