TDF offers theatre lovers the opportunity to explore the smaller stages, beyond Broadway and Off Broadway, where innovative artists are creating new and adventurous works, with all tickets for only $9 and no handling fee. The Off-Off@$9 program has been specifically designed to encourage attendance at both Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and non-AEA showcases as well as smaller dance venues. In these first two years of the program, TDF has generated nearly 41,000 admissions for participating Off-Off Broadway companies.
As a producer, you can submit theatre and dance productions online, add dates, times and allocations and view sales 24/7.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO LIST SHOWS?
Off-Off@$9 is open to any fully-produced, scripted theatre production (AEA Showcase Code or non-AEA) along with dance and music events, whose full price ticket has a face value of $10-$20. Please Note: If your production is at Theatre Row you must contact Theatre Row and have their box office create and manage your listing. If your show is part of a Festival you must contact the Festival management and have their staff create and manage your listing. All minimums and covers must be waived for TDF members. You must confirm with the venue's management before posting your offer on TDF's Off-Off@$9 program.
WHO CAN PURCHASE THESE TICKETS?
Both TDF members and non-members may purchase tickets using our Off-Off@$9 service. To learn more, please click here.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
First, the producer download the Producer's Kit which includes the three-step instructions. Then the producer creates an account at http://tickets.tdf.org. Next, producers build a show file, providing venue information, show description, artwork, etc. Finally, once the show is approved, the producer can add dates, times and ticket allocations.
TDF charges its members $9 per ticket (with no service charge) and non-members $9 (with $1 service charge) for all productions in the Off-Off@$9 program and pays the production $9 for each ticket purchased. TDF pays each box office weekly. Checks are mailed on each Monday following a week of performances.
