Once Upon a Mattress at City Center Encores!

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Anything Goes, The Music Man) stars in a new mounting of the classic musical Once Upon a Mattress, a zany riff on The Princess and the Pea about an unapologetic free spirit who's let loose in a repressed kingdom. Led by Encores! artistic director Lear deBessonet (Into the Woods, Lionel Bart’s Oliver!), this concert staging was adapted by Amy Sherman-Palladino (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Gilmore Girls) and features a glorious score by Mary Rodgers and Marshall Barer, including the songs "Shy," "In a Little While" and "Happily Ever After."

Sweeney Todd on Broadway

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s landmark musical thriller tells the tale of a resourceful pie shop owner and a vengeful barber out for blood who form an unlikely partnership. Together, they wreak havoc on Fleet Street and serve up the hottest—and most unsettling—pies in London. Thomas Kail (Hamilton, In the Heights) directs this Tony-nominated revival featuring a 26-piece orchestra.
