An entirely new musical based on the story and characters from William Steig's book Shrek!, as well as the DreamWorks Animation film Shrek, the first chapter of the Shrek movie series. Based on a popular 1990 book by William Steig. The characters of Shrek, Donkey and Fiona, and the other inhabitants of Far, Far Away, have been featured in three major animated films and a popular television special to date. Book and lyrics by David Lindsay Abaire, music by Jeanine Tesori, directed by Jason Moore.

LOTTERY INFORMATION: Shrek The Musical is proud to announce The Duloc Ticket Lottery at Shrek’s Swamp Shoppe, located on the 3rd floor of M&M’S WORLD® in Times Square (1600 Broadway). Starting at 10:00AM each morning, patrons are invited to enter a lottery drawing to purchase a limited number of rush tickets priced at $26.50 to that day’s performance. Names will be drawn at random for 16 rush tickets at 11:00AM. There will be a limit of two tickets per person and winners must be present with valid identification at the time of the drawing to purchase their tickets. On two show days, both drawings will take place at 10:00AM, but patron’s can only enter one drawing.
