Ballet Tech MANDANCE PROJECT takes the leap from tutus to post-classicism in two thrilling programs.
Program A: features a revival of Eliot Feld's Proverb, along with premieres of three ballets choreographed by Mr. Feld: Radiance, a solo for Ha-Chi Yu set to the music of Brian Eno; Dust, a theatrical maelstrom of wind and flying debris danced by Wu-Kang Chen and set to the music of John Luther Adams; and The Spaghetti Ballet, a madcap romp performed by Ha-Chi Yu and six accomplices set to the cinematic music of Ennio Morricone.
Program B: showcases the return of Wu-Kang Chen and his HORSE collaborators from Taiwan in the US premiere of an evening-length work called Bones, choreographed by the dancers.
