All of these videos were directed by Mark Blankenship, TDF’s online content editor, and shot and edited by Nicholas Guldner.

MEET FLUX THEATRE ENSEMBLE



Flux Theatre Ensemble works year-round to feel close to its audiences. (Sometimes, they even serve a feast before a performance.) This video features seven members of Flux Theatre Ensemble, who discuss everything from why they love work with moral ambiguity to why they sometimes perform in bars.




 

MEET COMPANY XIV



Company XIV is a dance-theatre company where art and entertainment crash together. This video features company members Austin McCormick, Laura Careless, and Davon Rainey.

Company XIV is currently presenting Nutcracker Rouge: A Burlesque Confection, its naughty spin on the holiday classic.


 

MEET KEEN COMPANY



Keen Company is radically committed to generosity of spirit. This video features actors Marsha Mason, Kathleen Chalfant, and Keith Nobbs, as well as artistic director Jonathan Silverstein. On December 8, Keen Company will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a reunion reading of John Patrick’s The Hasty Heart.

MEET PILOBOLUS


Pilobolus, a dance-theatre company that strives to do the impossible. Pilobolus’ summer season at the Joyce will run from July 15 — August 10. This video features company dancers Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern, Eriko Jimbo, Jordan Kriston, and Mike Tyus, as well as executive producer Itamar Kubovy and associate artistic director Renee Jaworski.

Clubbed Thumb, where new plays are always funny, provocative, and strange. As part of their annual Summerworks series, Clubbed Thumb is presenting Ariel Stess’ play I’m Pretty Fucked Up through June 22.
