Mitchell Jarvis and Adam Dannheisser reminisce ahead of the musical's reunion concert
For Mitchell Jarvis and Adam Dannheisser, Rock of Ages wasn't just a gig, it was a way of life. Both actors started with the hair-metal jukebox musical when it first banged its head Off Broadway in 2008, with Dannheisser playing Dennis Dupree, owner of LA's raucous The Bourbon Room, and Jarvis portraying narrator, charmer and Shakespearean-style fool Lonny. When the musical transferred to Broadway, the boys and their zany shtick went with it. (Jarvis also reprised his role in the 2019 Off Broadway revival of the show!) Now, 13 years and one pandemic later, we're getting the BFFs back together to talk about the upcoming Rock of Ages All-Star Reunion Concert, which streams on Saturday, April 24. (If you're a TDF member, we can hook you up with discount tickets!) Join us on Thursday, April 22 at 1 p.m. ET on TDF's Facebook page to hear them chat about the special as well as their craziest celebrity encounters, the music they rock out to and Jarvis' hilarious passion project MacBolton.
