Welcome to the 2020 Tony Awards… in fall 2021. Yes, it’s been a long, dramatic road to the ceremony, which unfolds tonight in two parts. Most trophies are being given out from 7 to 9 p.m. ET in a program hosted by Broadway legend Audra McDonald on the subscription streaming service Paramount+. Then, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, Hamilton‘s Leslie Odom Jr. emcees the two-hour Broadway’s Back! concert, featuring performances by a slew of shows including best musical contenders Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge! and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. The major awards—best play, best revival of a play and best musical—will also be announced during that special.

There are lots of exciting contests tonight, including head-to-head action between cast members in Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge!, Slave Play and The Inheritance. And even though Aaron Tveit is in a category by himself, he may still may lose! (Ultimately he did not.) TDF will be reacting to the Tony Awards in real time on our YouTube channel. We’ll also be updating this list as winners are announced.
