Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we’re continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12, for free or at low cost.
The Unknown Starring Sean Hayes
Live-streaming Friday, April 10 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 11 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 12 at 3 p.m. ET for $89.
Stage and screen star Sean Hayes (Emmy winner for Will & Grace, Tony winner for Good Night, Oscar) wraps up his run in The Unknown at Studio Seaview this weekend. But you can watch the final performances at home in real time courtesy of The League of Live Stream Theater. Directed by Leigh Silverman, this spine-tingling thriller by David Cale centers on a writer who’s being stalked… or is it all a story he’s making up in his head? It’s an excellent showcase for Hayes, who plays multiple characters in this haunting play.

Recorded live onstage at the lauded Jacob’s Pillow festival last summer, Elle Sofe Company’s Vástádus eana – the answer is land is a celebrated piece fusing dance with yoik, the traditional singing style of the Sámi people, who are indigenous to a region stretching across northern Norway and adjacent countries.
