Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we're continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20, for free or at low cost.

Caveat: Balls: The Monster Catching Musical

Live-streaming Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m., Saturday April 19 at 4 and 9:30 p.m. ET for $15
Any resemblance to those popular pocket monsters that shall not be named is purely parody. Brandon Zelman and Harrison Bryan are behind this new musical comedy about battling Collectabuddies featuring 8-bit tunes, magical monsters and improvised fights. Live-streaming directly from Caveat on the Lower East Side, though a recording will be available on demand after the performance. Enjoy a beloved annual tradition as cabaret legend Marilyn Maye marks her birthday (97 this year!) in song. New York City Fringe

Various shows live-streaming at various times all weekend at a sliding scale.

FRIGID New York presents its annual New York City Fringe featuring more than 60 eclectic shows at five Manhattan venues, but if you can't make it in person, many of the productions are available to live-stream at home. This weekend's online offerings include Someone Else's Child (Saturday, April 19 at 5:20 p.m. ET), a solo show about a surrogate's journey; The Phantom of the Opera's Friend (Friday, April 18 at 9:50 p.m. and Saturday, April 19 at 10:20 p.m. ET) in which the villain's BFF tells all; the contemporary dance showcase Stay (Saturday, April 19 at 5:20 p.m. ET); EMOJI: The Hieroglyphs of Our Time (Friday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 19 at 5:20 p.m. ET); and the irreverent Quacks & Whacks: A Cancer Comedy (Sunday, April 20 at 3:40 p.m. ET). 30 Years of Disney On Broadway Concert

Streaming for FREE.

Disney celebrates three decades of magical musicals on Broadway with this starry concert, recorded live at Florida's Walt Disney World earlier this year. Enjoy "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, "A Step Too Far" from Aida, "King of New York" from Newsies and more beloved songs crooned by Aladdin's current Genie Michael James Scott, Newsies favorite Kara Lindsay, Kissy Simmons from The Lion King and others. Mary Poppins star Ashley Brown hosts.

Pluto: Passing Strange

Streaming for FREE.

Daniel Breaker is currently starring as Hermes in Hadestown on Broadway, which we're selling on TDF membership. But you can also catch him at home in his breakout, Tony-nominated performance as a young Black bohemian on a journey of self-discovery in Passing Strange, singer-songwriter-performer Stew's celebrated autobiographical musical filmed live on stage by Spike Lee in 2008.
