Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we’re continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this weekend, Friday, March 13 to Sunday, March 15, for free or at low cost.
Fiasco Theater: The Comedy of Errors
Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 14 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. ET for $39.
Fiasco Theater, known for its playful reinventions of classics, collaborates with the Saunders siblings on a spirited version of The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare’s romp of mistaken identity as two sets of twins separated at birth find love and long-lost family. The family resemblance among the Saunders clan is sure to heighten the comedic confusion. Ben Steinfeld directs this production, which is being live-streamed from the Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Live from 54 Below: Kate Baldwin: The Bucket Show
Live-streaming on Saturday, March 14 at 7 p.m. ET for $30.
Fresh off her run as Roxie in Chicago, two-time Tony nominee Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!, Finian’s Rainbow) belts out some of her favorite songs from roles she’s famous for (and a few she didn’t book). Expect numbers by Kander and Ebb, Sondheim, Ahrens and Flaherty and Tesori, along with a couple of duets with her Chicago castmate, Alex Newell. Baldwin’s longtime collaborator Georgia Stitt accompanies them on piano. Streaming live from the cabaret hub’s swanky stage. If you prefer to attend in person, click here for info.

Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Saltburn) stars as a high-powered judge and mother caught in a moral and legal quagmire in Inter Alia, Suzie Miller’s follow-up to her hit play Prima Facie. After receiving rave reviews at the National Theatre last year, this intense drama transferred to the West End, where it’s currently running. But you can watch a recording of the original production online courtesy of National Theatre at Home. This is just one of many fantastic National Theatre shows you can stream, so be sure to browse the entire list. Captions are available for all offerings.

King Lear
Streaming for ÂŁ7.99, approximately $11.
I’ve been a fan of Jonathan Pryce’s film and TV work for decades—I’m currently watching him in Slow Horses. But he started out onstage in London, and I’m excited to see his acclaimed performance as the title character in King Lear. Michael Attenborough directed the Bard’s moving masterpiece about a family and state divided, which was recorded at London’s Almeida Theatre as part of the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival.
