WATCH: TDF's Conversation with Audra McDonald and LaChanze

Date: Apr 12, 2021

The beloved Broadway divas on their careers and cofounding Black Theatre United

---

Audra McDonald and LaChanze are Tony-winning performers, musical theatre icons and great friends, but it took a pandemic for the two to collaborate. TDF brought the stars together to discuss cofounding Black Theatre United (BTU), an organization that aims to spark anti-racist reform in the theatre industry. They also shared wonderful stories about seeing each other on stage, snagging deals at the TKTS Booths and the power of young people to create lasting change. If you weren't able to tune in live on our Facebook page, you can watch a recording of their uplifting conversation below along with BTU's new music video "Stand For Change" featuring McDonald, LaChanze, Vanessa Williams, Billy Porter, Norm Lewis, Brian Stokes Mitchell and other colleagues.
