Based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and the subsequent 1933 film adaptation, 42nd Street focuses on the efforts of famed dictatorial Great White Way director Julian Marsh to mount a successful stage production of a musical extravaganza at the height of the Great Depression.  Peggy Sawyer, a star-stuck chorus girl from Allenstown Pa. gets her big break when the star of Pretty Lady breaks her ankle. Can she dance her way from chorus girl to star?

42nd Street’s tap-happy score features “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” and more.
