Radiant strings, stirring chorales, and noble brasses evoke paintings by the Renaissance painter Matthias Grünewald, subject of Hindemith’s Mathis der Maler.  Salonen conducts new work about mythological twin brothers, stirring music by Bach, and a parody of Bach by Hindemith.

    The New York Philharmonic's David Geffen Hall is on the north side of Lincoln Center, at Broadway and West 65th Street. The main entrances are on the north side of the main plaza, facing the fountain.

    Lincoln Center offers 24-hour secured indoor parking. Enter on 62nd or 65th Streets, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.

    David Geffen Hall is accessible to individuals with disabilities from the Josie Robertson Plaza and the North Plaza, as well as from the parking garage and the Concourse Level.
