The 12th Annual celebration of the Lower East Side as it was and like it is 4 evenings of MORE NEW plays about the life and lore of the Lower East Side

These new works delve into such timely topics as immigrant identity, xenophobia, authoritarianism, gentrification, and artistic freedom. Plays feature famous figures of Village history, such as Boss Tweed, Hilly Kristal, Frances Perkins, Pauline Newman, Clara Lemlich, Rose Schneidermann,and Boris Tomashefsky, as well as historical events including Draft Riots, The Great Rent Strike of 1908, and the first New York performance of a play in Yiddish.

    Located on the second floor of the Connelly Center.

    The Connelly Theater does not have a full-time box office on site. You can purchase tickets to all shows online 24 hours a day until shortly before each performance. Walk-up tickets may be purchased, pending availability, at showtime.
