Following his wildly successful run of Zero Hour in 2011, Drama Desk Award-winner Jim Brochu returns to BSC in Character Man, a salute to the memorable character actors of Broadway, filled with hilarious theatre stories and touching personal recollections.

Sprinkled with juicy backstage lore, the show spotlights such theatrical personalities as Zero Mostel, Jack Gilford, Charles Nelson Riley, and Jackie Gleason. Character Man delivers such iconic songs as “Mr. Cellophane” (Chicago), “If I Were a Rich Man” (Fiddler) and “(Ya Got) Trouble” (The Music Man), by ground-breaking composers including Meredith Willson, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, and Stephen Sondheim
