Ether Dome is a psychological thriller that pits three men against each other on their quest for salvation, scientific prowess and glory. In an epic battle between altruism and financial gain, personal struggles send each man into a harrowing downward spiral into despair, and even insanity. Based on the true story of Hartford’s own Dr. Horace Wells – reputedly the inspiration behind Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!

Hartford Stage does not own a parking facility, both the adjacent MAT Garage and nearby Church Street Garage offer accessible parking spaces on every level. The MAT Garage offers an accessible ramp on its ground floor level that exits directly into Hartford Stage’s courtyard. -

Hartford Stage is equipped with accessible restrooms. They are located in the back corner of our main lobby, to the right of the stairs -

Visual Assistance
Audio description enables audience members who are blind or have low vision to hear descriptions of actions, body language, lights, costumes, scenery and other aspects of the production not conveyed by voices from the stage.
