La MaMa - Ellen Stewart Theatre
66 East 4th Street, New York City, NY 10003-8903
On a stage filled with moving boxes, stories from three generations of the same family unfold simultaneously. Two sisters celebrate a father’s birthday; a granddaughter tries to recover an abandoned house; a husband and wife divide up their photographs when their marriage ends.  Invoking their own personal and imagined histories, Companhia Hiato crafts a love letter to the memories we collect, recreate, and invent.

Companhia Hiato, founded by director and playwright Leonardo Moreira, is considered one of the most promising and talented theatre collectives in Brazil.  The award-winning company has toured to Holland, Germany, Chile, and Colombia.
