Inspired by the death of Trayvon Martin and other nameless black men, Strings follows one man’s road to execution, and hopefully, another toward redemption.
With moments before “Man’s” hearing and possible execution, the only person that wants Man to live is his lawyer, Derek. While Derek prepares to defend a man he just met, they each find that no one is truly innocent. “I am particularly proud of this work, and am extremely excited to be working with the cast on this project. I wanted to challenge myself in writing this new piece, and in doing so, I found a piece that continues transform before my eyes. I only hope that they audience loves this piece as much as the cast and crew.”
