Sergey Kuznetsov was born in 1978 to a musicians’ family. He received his first lesson at the age of four, and until 1996, had studied music at Moscow Gnessin School of Music in Valentina Aristova’s class. In 1999, Mr.Kuznetsov received the First Prize at the A.M.A. Calabria International Competition (Italy), and in 2000, he became a laureate of Alicia de Larrocha Competition in Andorra. In 2003, Mr. Kuznetsov won the Second Prize at the 9th Concours Geza Anda in Zurich, playing in the final round Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3 accompanied by the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. This performance also brought him the Audience Prize and an engagement to perform at Lucerne Festival.
Mr. Kuznetsov has been giving acclaimed performances in Russia, Spain, the UK, Belorussia, the Ukraine, Moldavia, Brazil, France, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Germany, Austria, Serbia, Turkey, Czech Republic, USA (Zankel Hall, among others), Japan, Cyprus and in the Netherlands.
