White is the latest work from Bessie award-winning choreographer, performer, and teacher Michelle Boulé. This trio for three women is choreographed and performed by Boulé with dancers Lauren Bakst and Lindsay Clark.
Referencing quantum physics and BioGeometry, Boulé investigates the non-localized resonance of movement and the ability of consciousness to collapse matter into momentary potential.
In White, Boulé explores the invisible architectures and frequencies created by movement and choreographic form. The dancers are physical participants in a subtle world. Their material bodies become tools for transmitting the immaterial (information that is beyond what is immediately perceivable through the 5 senses). Movement is treated like sound in its ability to travel across a space. Hairdos, costumes, color, patterns, and fractals are carefully brought together to create a resonant and harmonic field. Essentially, White explores the connectivity of our place, potential, and possibility.
