by Alfred Jarry

Director Declan Donnellan and designer Nick Ormerod made their triumphant Lincoln Center Festival debut in 2009 with the critically acclaimed, sold-out run of performances of Boris Godunov, created for the Chekhov International Theatre Festival. They return with their company Cheek by Jowl to bring an ingeniously re-imagined version of Alfred Jarry’s absurdist play Ubu Roi.
