When it debuted on Broadway, SPRING AWAKENING’s raw and honest portrayal of youth in revolt shattered expectations of what a musical could do, earning it 8 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, Best Book (for writer, Steven Sater) and Best Score (composer Duncan Sheik and lyricist Steven Sater).

Deaf West’s innovative new production takes this already revolutionary musical to electrifying new heights by choreographing sign language into the production, intensifying the rift between the lost and longing teenagers and the adults who refuse to hear them. Directed by Michael Arden and starring Golden Globe and Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God), Deaf West’s SPRING AWAKENING is full of knockout performances, explosive music and soul-stirring emotion

Lottery & Rush

Beginning two hours before every performance, a limited number of $35 tickets, some in the front row of the orchestra, will be sold via Broadway’s first-ever American Sign Language (ASL) lottery at the theater. In the production’s spirit of accessibility, every lottery drawing will be held in both spoken English and ASL thanks to support from the Sign Language Center.

Winners will be drawn in person 90 minutes before show time; there is a limit of two per person and tickets can be purchased with either cash or credit.
