What happens when 2 extraordinary singer performers from Africa come together for an exploration of music and story telling? AFRICA MY BEAUTIFUL happens.

Thuli Dumakude, from South Africa, winner of the Sir Lawrence Olivier award for Best Actress, has spent 40 years as a singer, actress, director, vocal coach (film "Cry Freedom"), performer on Broadway ("The Lion King"), off-Broadway and social activist.
Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa is, as she says, "a suburban kid from Zimbabwe," opera singer, classical pianist, Princeton graduate and a member of the post colonial African "bornfree" generation.

In Africa My Beautiful, two African women - through story telling, personal reminiscence and music of traditional, classical and contemporary genres, and dance - capture a half-century of change as they each learn about the other's world.
