American Showstoppers presents a tribute to the celebrated lyricist, Johnny Mercer whose lyrics provided commentary on American life through much of the 20th century.
His songbook includes such indelible standards as “Any Place I Hang My Hat is Home,” “Hooray for Hollywood,” and the Oscar award winning best song, “Moon River.”
His scores for the Broadway stage include Li’l Abner, St. Louis Woman, Top Banana, and the MGM musical picture Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. 


The cast will include:
Vivian Reed (2-time Tony nominee, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Marie Christine) 
Nick Spangler (It Shoulda Been You, The Book of Mormon, Cinderella, The Fantasticks, winner of The Amazing Race on CBS-TV)
Lauren Worsham (Tony nominee – Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder, NY Opera Candide, NY Philharmonic Show Boat)  
Karen Ziemba (Tony Award-winner for Contact, 3-time Tony-nominee, Steel Pier, Curtains, Never Gonna Dance, Bullets Over Broadway, 42nd Street)

featuring  The Fred Barton Orchestra.
