Playing @
Puerto Rican Traveling Theater
304 West 47th Street, New York City, NY 10036
The production is inspired by the original Pregones’ classic plays – The Wedding March (1991), ¡Ay Jesús! Oh, Jesus! (2003) and Peccatoribus (2004).

We combined these three one-person shows into a one evening-length performance showcasing our ensemble’s aesthetic approach at adapting works to the stage. The result is an experimental work of music theater with four performers and two musicians. Think of it as a cabaret of urgent tales of love and war through the ages.

The Marchers includes works by writers/poets Judith Ortiz Cofer, Jesús Colón, Walt Whitman, Sandra María Estevez, Baruch Israel, Yara Liceaga, Salvatore Quasimodo, and classic compositions by Bertolt Brecht, Kurt Weill, Haans Eisler, Desmar Guevara, el pueblo puertorriqueño, el pueblo español and Las Mondines.
