If you want to know what’s happening in new and innovative dance across the pond, you need look no further than London’s BalletBoyz, a troupe of 10 young men with no principal dancers who, like America’s Pilobolus, work as a collective.
The Boyz were founded in 2001 by Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt, two former Principals with the Royal Ballet during which they danced all the standard principal roles, but also a host of new ones created for them by choreographers from Christopher Wheeldon to Twyla Tharp. BalletBoyz are now Associate Artists of Sadler’s Wells and have won virtually every dance award that Great Britain has to offer.
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd @ 7:30 PM
