Mitsuko Uchida’s presence at McCarter is always a singular event and we welcome her this coming season for the fifth time.
With a reputation second to none, she is, quite simply, Uchida— a musician’s musician who maintains an inspired balance between head and heart, combining that iconic perfection of sound with spontaneity.
Uchida will present an all-Schubert program—a composer of particular interest to her—encompassing three Sonatas: D.537 in A minor, D. 840 in C major, and his last, the great Sonata in B-flat, D.960 (Op. Posth)
