Soulful songwriter/performer Shaina Taub infuses an old-time revival quality to tracks on her new album ‘Visitors’, as many songs build to a multi-voice, cathartic crescendo; NY Times Arts & Leisure interview says she is “poised to break out,” as Taub evokes comparisons to Carole King and Regina Spektor.
On a night off from starring in the run 'Old Hats' at the Signature Theatre, her upcoming Joe’s Pub concert will celebrate the release of her record, featuring an ensemble of the 26 musicians who played on the album, performing 'Visitors' live in its entirety.
