Austin Vaughn is a musician who plays the drumset. He has been living in New York since 2011. His solo music has primarily been an investigation/celebration of various acoustic phenomena, e.g. exploration of overtones, sympathetic vibration, and interference beating via “extended” percussion techniques in addition to the totally ordinary.

Austin earned a BA at Oberlin Conservatory, where he studied old-fashioned, new-fangled, and timeless musical stylings with Billy Hart, Mike Rosen, and Jamey Haddad
