Hungarian György Ligeti said he saw colors when he heard sounds. Just imagine what you'll "see" when, on the tenth anniversary of the composer's death, MetLiveArts teams up with the New York Philharmonic and the Ensemble of the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ALUMNI for an all-star, three-concert mini-marathon focusing on the music of Ligeti and the successors he influenced. Ligeti was a fountainhead of modern music. Each concert in Ligeti Forward pairs one of his concertos with new works it inspired.
