National Dance Institute's 2016 Event of the Year, Words with Wings, will bring together 200 talented dancers from New York City public schools in a spectacular celebration of the power of poetry.

The event will feature new choreography and music inspired by a wide range of poets including Maya Angelou, Emily Dickinson, Langston Hughes, and X.J. Kennedy. Taking the stage alongside NDI's dancers will be the extraordinary spoken word artist Aja Monet who will lead the audience on a captivating and imaginative poetic journey.
