Dances Patrelle's Macbeth is a "very moving" (Dance View, 2001) balletic retelling of the Bard's classic story.

Set to a sweeping, patchwork score of Tchaikovsky symphonies
, Macbeth "achieves a continuous, dramatic intensity" (Dance Diary, 1995).  Francis Patrelle's telling "succeeds to a surprising extent" (NY Times, 1995) with gorgeous costumes and paired down sets complimented by a cast of wonderful dancers, including Martin Harvey as Macbeth, Mary Beth Hansohn as Lady Macbeth and Heather Hawk as one of the Witches. Therese Wendler, Maximillien Baud, Roberto Leon, Julie Voshell and others round out the cast.
