The Construction Company: CORNFIELD/GOOD/BOWDEN/WINDMILLER

The Construction Company returns for their 47th season at University Settlement with new works that are juxtaposed with revivals of two highly personal solos.

Ellen Cornfield will present Raw Footage, a compelling portrait of performers Pierre Guilbault, Ruth Howard, Vanessa Knouse, and Logan Pedon, who will also perform a section from Cornfields recent Pas de Detour. Both works feature music by Andreas Brade. Choreographer Alan Good will collaborate on a new work with musicians Allen Fogelsanger (piano) and Nicholas Handahl (woodwinds). Sally Bowdens The Potato Piece, with text by Irene Borger, which premiered at The Construction Company in 1975, will be restaged for dancer Jamie Di Mare. Rebekah Windmiller will recreate her solo Lean for her daughter Kalliope Piersol; the dance was first presented at The Construction Company in 2004.
