Born Dancing will present its brand new one-act, Wasted Love.
Wasted Love is a modern dance Girl-Meets-Boy (Not So) Fairy Tale set to the music of singer/songwriter Misty Boyce, who will be joining the performances. The choreography explores the expected and unexpected meetings and partings of differently abled people as they move through a ‘New York City meets Hogwarts’ world where a Girl and a Boy wrestle through the thrills and trappings of romance.
In addition to Wasted Love, Born Dancing will present some of its original choreography inspired by and set to the music of Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam, which premiered March 2016, including some re-worked and new pieces.
Three generations of dancers, including Born Dancing’s elementary school students, will perform in this part of the production dancing on the moon and defying expectations.
