Ms. Zall continues to present to the New York City audience her classic modern dance repertory that portrays women from literature and history.
This year's program includes rarely seen archival works by legendary Modern Dance Choreographers Jane Dudley, Sophie Maslow, and Anna Sokolow.
All works are danced by former members of The Martha Graham Dance Company: Nya Bowman, Jennifer Conley, Erica Dankmeyer, Sandra Kaufmann, Lauren Newman, Caterina Rago, and Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch and Special Guest Artist Kenneth Topping. This year's production is dedicated to our beloved friends and artists Dudley Williams and David Zurak.
These solos are somewhat Ms. Zall’s memoirs of her own experiences that have similarities to the women she portrays. Vanity, fear of lost, fear of getting old, addiction, jealousy, feminism, hate/love relationships between women, envisions of excellence, painful lost of love, and insecurities are all the emotions that are truly universal and dramatically displayed in her works. The audience is transported into worlds of dreams, regrets, torment, and fulfillment.
