A concept album co-composed by Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner (The National), James McAlister, and Nico Muhly, Planetarium is an expansive song cycle that explores the Sun, the Moon, the planets and other celestial bodies of our solar system (and beyond) through soundscape, song, science and myth.

The result of this creative alliance is a musical and aesthetic journey as far-reaching as its subject: from lush piano ballads to prog-rock political anthems, curious electronic back-beats to classical cadenzas, the vast musical styles seek to explore the diversity and mystery of our cosmos

Performance opens with Joan as Police Woman (Joan Wasser) Her musical life has spanned many albums, bands, collaborations and genres. Trained as a classical violinist, she worked, recorded, and toured with The Dambuilders, Those Bastard Souls, Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, and countless others before starting Joan as Police Woman in 2013.
