Bess and George’s TRUE RIGHT is a show that's one part parody, one part political inquiry and one part karaoke swansong.

This three-person piece aims to dissect the right wing of our American electorate - but you know, in a fun way. Think Sam Shepard's True West, but with George and Jeb Bush. With a nod to Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers' Matt and Ben, Brittany and Gemma will play George and Jeb and they won't even change their hair.

Bess and George
make work for and about the overlooked Other, with special emphasis on our own box: women of color, in peril and empowered. Our pieces mine history and science to give context to the often-surreal present day. We appreciate the line of philosophical inquiry where science and the surreal can coexist, and to this point enjoy non-chronological storytelling, abstractions, intelligent satire and giving our audience gifts.
