The story of courage and self-sacrifice in the year-long Siege of Calais during the Hundred Years’ War inspired artists from Donizetti to Rodin.

Our new production of this rarely-heard Italian bel canto work examines concepts of homeland and heroism in a region that continues to be a backdrop for conflict.
