On the 75th anniversary of the wartime premiere of Oklahoma!,Daniel Fish’s vibrant, essential excavation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 1943 classic asks that we listen with virgin ears…. And what do we hear? Why, America singing, of course, in all its insolence and innocence, its optimism and anxiety, its gregariousness and its guardedness — America as it was, and is, and probably shall ever be.” –  The New York Times (2015)

With a seven-piece band playing all new arrangements, Fish’s timely production upends the sunny romance between a farmer and a cowpoke with “what has always been just below the surface of this magnificent musical” — the darker psychological truths of a community circling the wagons against an outsider. Oklahoma!  feels as fresh and as revelatory as if written for today’s America. (The New York Times)

Classic songs include “People Will Say We’re in Love,” “I Cain’t Say No,” “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” and “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top.”
