Caitlin Schultz, grad student and single mother, goes to interview a great veteran of the women's movement who was tossed aside. She then visits the beautiful magazine editor who guides the wing of the movement that displaced her.

These two leaders gradually reveal to Caitlin what motivated their respective beliefs and why they came into conflict. THE FIGHT asks the question, what is feminism? What should a woman's life goals be?

Based on innumerable interviews and vast amounts of research, The Fight looks at the battles that convulsed modern feminism, both outside the movement and within it. Bringing to light previously untold and deeply personal stories along with buried scandals from these pivotal years of the Second Wave, The Fight is a play that addresses vital issues from that time and today.
