Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky brings this lost classic to life with a bold new staging, inspired by the archival notes of Marius Petipa.
Revel in pure comedic joy as Harlequin fights for his true love, Columbine, against her father’s wishes. Full of madcap humor and delightful dancing, this tribute to the Italian commedia dell’arte tradition is a visual treat for the whole family. After madcap misadventures, love triumphs.
The set and costume designer Robert Perdziola (TDF Young Master 2000), admired for his work in opera, theater and ballet, has created a sumptuous production designed on a grand scale, including 172 hats and 174 costumes.
Part of the Ratmansky Project.
