BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - the acclaimed production that sold-out in 2018!
This 1950's drama tells of Eddie Carbone, a longshoreman who lives and works in Red Hook with his wife Beatrice and her 18 year-old orphaned niece, Catherine. When Beatrice's undocumented relatives arrive from Ital to work the docks, conflict grows between Eddie and cousin Rodolpho.
The Waterfront Barge allows the story of Eddie Carbone told in A View from the Bridge to unfold directness and simplicity, allowing for greater intimacy and detail. With the audience merely feet away from the action, there is the opportunity “to strike a particular note of astonishment at the way in which, and the reasons for which, a man will endanger and risk and lose his very life.”
