Kosher meets Cornbread, Blues and Rock ‘N' Roll in Memphis singer-songwriter Shelley Fisher’s critically acclaimed solo musical play The HEBREW HILLBILLY: Fifty Shades of Oy Vey!

Chronicling Fisher's Hollywood Odyssey that begins in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, the musical play follows Fisher's life growing up as a little girl from Memphis, Tennessee with big rock n' roll fantasies that take her on a journey to Los Angeles. Her quest for fame and fortune lead her down the proverbial path of broken dreams until an unexpected detour reveals her true purpose beyond The Hollywood Sign.

Based on Shelley's background as a minority in the Deep South, this universal story speaks to the human struggle for acceptance and assimilation.  Pulsating with 15 original Memphis blues & rock n’ roll inspired songs written by Shelley and hit songwriters Ken Hirsch and Harold Payne, the hilarious and poignant The Hebrew Hillbilly is a celebration of diversity, dreams and determination to never give up!
